Cheque Presentations - 04/03/09

Both Barnstaple hospices benefited this week from an ongoing program of support by the Freemasons' Grand Charity.

The Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro. P. Louis Baycock, presented cheques for over £2,000 each to Emma Puckey, head of fundraising of the Children's Hospice South West and to Alison Hunt, the fund raising manager of the North Devon Hospice.

Over the last 24 years The Freemasons' Grand Charity has donated over £211,000 to hospices in Devon as well as many other deserving cause, the most recent of which was a donation of to assist victims of the bushfires that tore through the state of Victoria, Australia
